Station1 Statement of Solidarity and Support

We stand with our Black students, colleagues, families, and community in the face of continued injustice, racism, and violence. We remain dedicated to the advancement of racial justice through the reimagination, redesign, and systemic reform of higher education. Science and technology, its promise and peril, reflect our own humanity and have been embedded within and complicit in fostering inequitable social systems. A more just future depends on the rigorous interrogation of these systems, past and present, and the holistic redesign of our educational institutions. We commit to accelerating the transformation of higher education systems through institution-building and collective impact initiatives integrating access, curriculum, pedagogy, financial models, research cultures and processes, and ultimately, foundational mental models. We face this imperative to ensure the hopeful futures of our students, and the society they will help to build.
