Station1 Receives Grant from Analog Devices, Inc. Foundation
Station1 is pleased to announce a new partnership with Analog Devices, Inc., as well as the receipt of a grant from the Analog Devices Foundation, the company’s charitable arm that advances its mission to engineer a more sustainable future for our people and planet.
The grant from ADI Foundation will increase the number of undergraduate students participating in the Station1 Frontiers Fellowship, the prestigious flagship education, research, and internship program focused on socially-directed science and technology. “The partnership with ADI will provide life-changing opportunities for talented college students to engage in state-of-the-art socially directed scientific and engineering research and technology commercialization,” said Dr. Christine Ortiz, founder of Station1 and Professor at MIT.
Since its founding in 1965, ADI – a Boston-based, leading global high-performance analog technology company dedicated to solving the toughest engineering challenges – has maintained a steadfast commitment to supporting, promoting, and broadening access to science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). In addition to the company’s financial support, ADI employees volunteer their time to mentor the next generation of scientists and engineers.
“We are excited to partner with Station 1,” said Margaret Seif, Chief People Officer and SVP Communications, Analog Devices. “Supporting initiatives that broaden access to STEM education and job opportunities for students of all backgrounds is at the forefront of ADI and its Foundation’s goals.”
ADI’s commitment to STEM aligns well with the mission of Station1, a nonprofit higher education institution founded by researchers at MIT in 2016 to pave a pathway of opportunity through a new model of learning and research – inclusive and socially-directed science and technology. Based upon a foundation of inclusion and equity, this model integrates STEM with humanistic fields and the social sciences to interrogate, understand, and shape technologically driven societal impact towards more equitable, ethical, and sustainable outcomes. Station1 delivers transformative education, research, and innovation programs and leads higher education systems change initiatives.
